The contribution of Genfocus Contracting to the renewable energy sector in UAE

Genfocus Contracting has made a significant contribution to the renewable energy sector in the UAE. The company has completed several large-scale solar energy projects, including the 800 MW Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in which the scope of works included Installation activities of Solar Panels, DC Switching Boxes, Inverters, LVMV Cable laying, module interconnections. Also we performed Civil works like excavation of trenches, backfilling, inverter station foundations, road crossing concrete duct works etc.
Al Dhafra Solar Photovoltaic (PV) is a large-scale solar power project located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is one of the largest solar PV plants in the world and is part of the UAE’s efforts to increase its reliance on renewable energy sources. The project has a capacity of 2 GW and covers an area of over 8 square kilometres. Al Dhafra Solar PV produces clean, renewable electricity, reducing the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In the Al Dhafra PV2 Solar Park, Genfocus Contracting is serving as the testing and commissioning partner, performing a range of tests to ensure the reliability and performance of the solar energy system in which our scope is cold & hot commissioning works of 180 PV blocks as wells 180 MV stations. The tests which we are performing are
Open Circuit Voltage testing of PV Modules, Short Circuit Current testing of PV Modules , IV Curve tracing testing of PV Modules, IR Thermography testing of String connections and Inverter bus bar connections, Current Validation testing, SCADA validation testing, MV step up transformers testing, LV Switchgear testing ,RMU testing. We are also
performing reliability, performance testing as well as energization also with our ADDC approved testing & commissioning engineers.
In addition to utility-scale projects, Genfocus Contracting is also involved in the design and construction of rooftop and hybrid solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in the UAE. The company has completed a range of projects, from 5 KW to 5 MW in capacity, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman . This demonstrates Genfocus Contracting’s versatility and ability to offer comprehensive solutions for renewable energy projects, regardless of scale or complexity. By providing these services, Genfocus Contracting is playing an important role in promoting the use of clean energy and reducing the UAE’s dependence on fossil fuels.
Thus the expertise of Genfocus Contracting in the renewable energy sector is helping to advance the UAE’s goal of generating 44% of its power from clean energy sources by 2050
